Elaine Rava is a Writer/Director based in New York City. Through her work she explores the underbellies of human existence, queer love, mental illness and femme narratives. Prior to film, Elaine led Shellscrape Theatre Company as Artistic Director for five years, writing and directing plays for the company that were featured both in NYC and internationally. She then began to explore filmmaking with Fragment Flix, a vertical cinema production company with whom she wrote and directed several short films. Elaine is currently studying Writing/Directing at Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema where she anticipates completing her MFA in Spring 2025.
